The world we live in is changing rapidly in many ways. The cultural, technological, educational, economic and environmental landscape our young adults are expected to navigate seems to change constantly. Helping young adults make the transition through these muddy and turbulent waters has been a focus of my therapy for the last 7 years. I seek to help them explore their identity and purpose, heal trauma and overcome addiction, including the growing and poorly understood technological addictions (social media, video games, internet) with which young adults are expected to contend without guidance, as they often understand them better than the adults around them. Using cognitive, somatic and Aiki techniques, I help young adults to identify practices that build skills for success, heal trauma and bring them closer to their desired self.
